I have intimate knowledge of what’s it is like to have a voice that doesn’t match who you are inside. I know what it is like to be petrified of speaking in public for fear of “outing” yourself. Dysphoria is something that I, as a transgender woman, am extremely familiar with.
In early transition, I was berated and shunned by other transgender women, not one of them offered to help. I am in this field of work so other transgender women do not have to go through the same struggles. I had little to no hope, so hope is what I offer you.
